We are thrilled to announce that National PKU News has officially become flok Health.
Why the Change?
After more than 30 years of serving the PKU community, we recognized that our mission needed to grow. Many of the families and individuals we serve are affected by conditions beyond PKU — including Classical HCU, MSUD, Tyrosinemia, Organic Acidemias, and Urea Cycle Disorders.
The name flok reflects our commitment to bringing these communities together, like a flock that’s stronger when united.
What’s Changing
- Expanded scope: We now serve all inherited disorders of protein metabolism
- New app: The flok app replaces our previous tools with a modern, comprehensive platform
- Same commitment: Our dedication to community, education, and research remains unchanged
